Calgary Oilpatch for Cancervive
This year's event was held on April 28, 29 & 30, 2016 - at the Twin Arenas in Erin Wood, SE Calgary.
For the past 3 years a group of down town oil and gas professionals have been hitting the ice in support of Cancervive & Wellspring Calgary. This is a hockey event which boasts no final or team winner. The teams are made up of all levels of hockey players from all corners of the oil business. The hockey is played at a good competitive level yet it stays extremely good natured and fun. The participants of this tournament are well aware of how lucky they are to be able to play this wonderful game and take the spirit of why we are here very seriously. Many of its participants have been touched by cancer in some way or another therefore their generosity shows every year relating to almost $50,000.00 raised in the last 3 years.
